Prayer

Our connection to God
Prayer is mankind's connection with God. Although it may seem challenging and mysterious at times, prayer is simply talking to the Heavenly Father. Whether our prayers are joyful, sorrowful, anxious, or loving, and whether they are offered while kneeling, standing, or sitting, God is always attentive to the prayers of His children. Therefore, for a spiritual life under the influence of the Holy Spirit, continuous prayer will come naturally to the believer.

How can one learn to pray?
The best way to learn how to pray is by actually praying. Start by dedicating 10 or 15 minutes of quiet time every day to speak with the Lord. Express your feelings of weakness, have faith that the Holy Spirit is within you to guide you in prayer, and be confident that God will help you once you start. So, begin praying and continue doing so.

What should I pray for?
The scriptures urge us to pray for many things, including all believers, those who work in spreading the gospel, each other, and ourselves. We're also encouraged to pray for the lost souls living in sin and for the poverty and wretchedness in our cities. We should approach these prayers with humility, fervor, and as we remain in Christ. Our acceptance with God and our access to Him are all through Christ.

What does God say about prayer?
"If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7).
